Intercultural Center Alumni Initiatives
The Alumni Mentoring Initiatives connects ¹ú²úÍøºì¸£ÀûÒ»Çø students with graduate students and professional alumni through a structured, relationship-centered mentoring model designed to expand access, build confidence, and strengthen career pathways.
Rooted in community and intergenerational support, Alumni Mentoring Initiatives help students translate academic experience into professional readiness — across industries and disciplines.
Our Triad Model
We use a three-tier mentoring model, partnering:
- An undergraduate student
- A graduate student
- A professional alum
This structure creates layered mentorship and peer support. Undergraduate students gain guidance from both a near-peer mentor navigating graduate or advanced study and an experienced professional offering industry insight. Graduate students strengthen leadership skills while receiving continued professional mentorship. Alumni contribute expertise while remaining actively engaged in the RWU community.
The program is interdisciplinary and not limited to any one field of study.
Program Focus
- Career exploration and professional identity development
- Graduate school and industry navigation
- Networking and social capital building
- Leadership and confidence development
- Expanding access for students from historically underrepresented communities
Participants commit to consistent engagement throughout the program cycle, supported by structured goal-setting and periodic check-ins.
